My favorite occasion to crochet for is anytime! I don’t need a reason! However, If I have to pick one, Christmas would top my list. I love to make lacy snowflakes and bells, etc, etc, from No. 10 thread. My whole family has crocheted stockings. The young tots can get crocheted toys or animals. I work on Christmas all year round, laying aside small gifts

I love crocheting for birthdays. Each project and color can be coordinated to the needs and personality of the recipient, but I don’t have to feel beholden to seasonal themes while I’m working.
