Christine Weiher
Hi my name is Christine and I’m from Illinois, not born, but definitely raised. I was born in Tampa, Florida, too bad I’m not still there. My favorite things to do are play with my nieces and nephews, hang out with friends and take pictures. I definitely like to read a good book when I find one. I’m new to the crafting world, but I am learning a lot, and quickly.
I got into the crafting world pretty quickly when I started here and it came in handy while planning my wedding. I made the flower girl baskets and a few other necessities. I recently got married so it should be a very exciting journey from here on out. Can’t wait to see what the married life holds.
I studied Journalism at Eastern Illinois University. I loved it there and wasn’t ready to leave, but I guess we all have to live in the real world at some point. I graduated in 2007, which seems like a long time ago, but while I was there I worked on the school newspaper as well as the magazine we printed. I love the entertainment world. I also graduated with a minor in Sociology…I have yet to use what I learned. I am lucky enough to have found such a great job in the crafting field. I love it and I hope I continue bringing you great content!

Caley Walsh
My name is Caley and I’m originally a Hoosier (from Indiana for those not in the know). I have a fondness for crochet, crafting with recycled materials and homemade soap. As a foodie of sorts and a former editor for a major food and cooking website, I can boast amongst other things an authentic Mexican Mole and a few tasty baked goods. As I’m always teaching myself new things, crafting is part of my great DIY adventure.
I lived in Ireland for two years while completing a Master’s in Popular Literature at Trinity College in Dublin. My dissertation was on McSweeney’s Quarterly Concern, a literary magazine which I really hope you enjoy or plan to check out. Previously, I attended Northwestern University and fell in love with Chicago and its skyline and Midwest friendliness. Despite my affection, I moved to New York for a short stint before Dublin and soaked up as much culture as I could. In proper nomadic fashion characterizing my life in recent years, I now live in Berkeley, California with my Irish boyfriend. I think I might stick around for a while.
Kristen Prosise
I have a thing for earthy art and vintage chic. I’m not sure what my (near) future home will look like, but I think the decor will be somewhat confusing, as is my taste. Sometimes I love clean lines and other times it’s all about free-flowing organic styles. My tendency for crafting is similarly ambivalent. I spent some time sewing quilts in high school and college. And have recently grown very interested in crochet and upcycling as an experiment in being more thrifty.
At my best, I’m a writer and professional wanderer who loves pretty things and learning. I appreciate FaveCrafts’ contributors for their creativity and community; all of you are going to help me be a better wife (and mother one day).
On a free day, I love to check out a local cafe or make a hearty salad with some kind of delicious vinaigrette and lounge with my future hubby, laughing about things. If I wasn’t living in Chicago, I’d be dwelling in Madrid, speaking Spanish with a lisp and eating great food! The best of life is living it, and I intend to.

This is my 1st time here. I found patterns I will probably use for a baby blanket and a pattern for hat and gloves.
I would really thank you for the free pattern but more importantly the print size of the instructions. I don’t think it’s my hardware because I it just does not work on other patterns that I print. The print size is large enough that I don’t need my reading glasses.
Thank you.

I just wanted to comment on how cute your webpage layout and design is! Even the search bar. How clever. I just became a member to this site, mainly because I’m always crafting on my free time. Looking forward to letting the creative energy flow! Thanks for making such a cool site to visit and learn by.
