Kids Saturday: Bugs and Animals

Kids are always curious about what bugs they can find in the backyard and which ones they can pick up and play with. I myself do not like bugs, however, when I was little I used to catch butterflies, that’s what I was into. My friends and I once found these really fat caterpillars that we kept and fed, eventually they turned into cocoons and then came out as butterflies. It was pretty amazing.

I also love animals. I love going to the zoo and looking at all the neat creatures. My favorites and the zebras and giraffes, they have such pretty designs to display. Now we can’t craft real bugs and animals, but we can craft some really neat ones.

Bug Door Hanger- This cute painted door hanger has summer bugs and flowers on it. Great for a child’s room.

Bugs and Beads Jewelry- This butterfly necklace is great for a little girl and has easy directions.

Capering Critter Hand Puppet- These brightly colored puppets will entertain your children all day.

Cat Pocket Pal- Carry this cute little guy around with you. It’s really easy to make.

Dog Bottle Bank- After making this bank your child can make bank by saving money.

Fun with Froggie-This is one of my favorites. Parents might have to help make it, but kids will love it.
