International Quilt Festival

Posted by Mindy on April 15th, 2009 at 02:56pm

The International Quilt Festival is making its way to the Chicagoland area this weekend. Starting tomorrow night (with a preview) and running through April 19th, crafters, quilters and quilt lovers can stop into the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill. to experience the festival. In addition to the 1,000 quilts on display, there will be items for sale, lectures and classes on topics like scrap quilts and how to quilt hexagonal spirals. Kelly and I will be attending the event this Friday and will report back for those of you who cannot attend. If you want to learn more about the festival or find out when it might be in your area, check out the International Quilt Festival website. And in case you can’t make it, check out some of our great quilting projects on FaveCrafts.
