Inspired at Home Radio: September 6

Posted by Tiffany on September 4th, 2009 at 06:04am

As a child, Halloween was always a BIG to do around our house. As the daughter of the original tacky and crafty lady, Aleene, my mother always insisted that we kids craft a gift to give to all the homes that we went to for trick or treating.  I actually always looked forward to creating our small crafty treats and seeing the surprised look on the homeowners face when we gifted them with our handmade treasure. So for me, Halloween was never about all the treats I could gather but rather the gifts I could give.  I still enjoy giving little handmade treasures to my family and friends at Halloween and I think these adorable Halloween Luminaries will be perfect this year!

They’re quick and easy and I love that they light up with tealights but also glow in the dark when unlit. Whether you want to recycle clear glass votives that you already have in your craft cupboard or head off to the craft store to purchase your supplies, these luminaries are economical and eye-catching and will light the path for the little ghosts and goblins.

Get Creative! Get Inspired! Have fun!
