My great aunt made something like this birthday book to present to each family at our extended family Christmas one year. She even took the time to pre-fill them, not only with everyone’s birth date, but wedding anniversaries and reunion events. Everyone unanimously said it was the best gift they’d gotten in a long time because it was so useful and helped us remember to keep in touch so much easier. Now she does one every year and often adds family photos to the top of each month for extra personalization.

I love sending homeade birthday cards. I store my card supplies according to age and gender to make it easier to find the right card embellishments.
