Help a Reader: Silk Flower Angels

Can you help this reader create a silk flower angel? Sounds like a great craft for Christmas. Make a whole set in coordinating colors to adorn your Christmas tree.
I’m looking for a pattern for angels made from silk flowers. You put glitter on the edges of petals & leaves, turn the blossom upside down, put a wooden bead for the head, add hair and a halo. I thing the leaves are used as wings. Thanx so much!

I used this one only we did them for VBS I used different color roses or any full type of flower with several petals. Take the silk flower apart. I used a jingle bell and pulled a glitter pipecleaner threaded the flower petals on the pipecleaner then a bead( The bead we used a paint pen and made slits for closed eyes and red for lips or mouth) I threaded the pipe cleaner through the green bottom from the flower and we twisted the pipecleaner into the halo. You can ether use the leaves for the wings or We used wired ribbon (organze silver or gold) cut at an angle twist under the wooden bead for wings add some glitter pipe cleaner for a hook to hang in christmas tree and under the head(bead) to make folded hands. We also glued the moss on the head for hair or you can get the curly hair and most craft stores to glue on
Kids love making them

seems to me you already know what to do, use your talent to explore new ideas, buy the way kids have great ideas, sounds cute,i might try it , i used to make ghosts out of tissue stuffed with tissue and you tie the head off with thin licorice, and get out the magic marker for the evil, fun eyes!!!

We use the 3 petal poinsetias ( any color but like white the best) to make these. Pull one petal over to make the body, leaving the other two for your wings. Glue a bead or gem (possibly birthstone) on for a head. Can use a small piece of glitter pipe cleaner for halo. Cute to add a small ribbon bow under the “neck”. Add a hanger for a ornament or jewelry back for a pin.

I made a bunch of angels out of carnations and poinsettas. Turn flower upside down cut stem off flat, hot glue a small(about 1 inch) christmas ball(with the hook to the top) where stem was and hot glue a plastic wedding ring to the back of the tip, then hot glue leaves (or you can use ribbon) as wings
NOTE; I got all my supplies from the dollar store. So they are very cheap to make.

Hi, These are adorable to make and very easy.
1. Fold long pipe cleaners in half, glue the folded end into a wooden bead or small christmas ball (silver or gold or clear works best.
2. paint face or leave without one
3. Use larger blossoms with the green plastic bloom holder removed from the silk. Push the flower upside down up about 2/3 of the way up to the top of the pipecleaner where the head bead is.
4. Add as many petals as you like to make a full skirt, even using different types of blooms.
5. in the spece you have between the head and skirt, use another pipecleaner and twist aound the straight one to form arms and hands with a small bead for the hands.
6. place two small flowers back to back for the blouse, or use beautiful ombre ribbons criscrossed over the shoulders for the top, or even a few different flowers draped over the shoulders. All of these look gorgeous!
7. with the two ends of the pipecleaners you have at the bottom, you can attache ceramic doll legs or beads to make legs and feet. They ARE SPECTACULAR for ornaments and to hang in a kitchen or any room for a good luck angel or even use irridescent wrapping paper and leaves for fairies. I could go on all day and have made many of them for gifts and for my tree. Enjoy

I’ve made the angels from Corinations. Turned upside down this gives the angels a full skirt. I pulled some of the green base out front and tacked together with a glue dot to form the arms. For the heads I used the sparkling Pom Pom balls… didn’t worry about the facial features. Add a couple of petals from the underneath side as wings, glue to back of angel. With a gold pipe cleaner, I formed a halo, with a stem that went down and attached behind the head, then took a long silver ornament hook and made a hanger. Everyone I gave them to has loved them. With the sparkling Pom Poms, I coordinated the different colors with the different colored coronations making bright cheerful angels.

i made many of these angles. i start by putting a long thin dowel rod in the head, then paint the face. i take a flower that is very full or use more than 1 if you want it fuller. then i glue the petals on one at a time, if it is not full enough add a spacer between the petals that came out of the flower to make the skirt stand out a little. i take a pipe cleaner any color to match the flower and make one wrap around the neck, to form the arms. then get either glitter pipe cleaners to form the wings or some ribbon, glue it on the back close to the back of the neck. now you can put your hair i use the curly hair and just glue on as much as i want to make it look good. now i go back to the arms and fold up the ends o the pipe cleaner to make hands and put a little piece of sheet music or a heart or flower just what ever you want.oh for her halo i take a wire and make a ring o seed beads and just sit on top of her head with a little dab of glue. and the is your angle. if you want to hang them on a tree you can just glue a little loop i ribbon on the back of the neck. hope this will help.

You take a full flower apart this is the dress. you need 2 beads 1 for head 1 for body and 1 meat skewer, plastic parts and pipe cleaners for arms.Glue or hot glue i used a long wood bead for the body use the plastic to hold body up add glue then start adding flowers large to small save a small one for a collar add arms under it. People sometimes like to make a statement and decide to wear jewelry with meaning behind it. It’s a lovely way to show your history or beliefs. A good example of this is the symbol of an inverted hand, where the hand extended forward is a symbol of divine force. Always remember when choosing jewelry, to choose what you love! Finding jewelry that flatters your and that you feel good wearing is the perfect complement to any outfit.
