I have the honeycomb sweater pattern, unfortunately it got lost in my sewing room and I haven't yet come across it no matter how many times I search. But my pattern read: row 1 knit 1 knit 1B, all the way across, then row 2 knit 2, knit 1B. It was worked in one piece from bottom to where it divided for armholes. the "B' means knit one below.

Ravelry.com lists a Honeycomb pattern from Knitty Magazine,Spring 2008, if that is the pattern she lost.
She would need to Join Ravelry, but it is free, or maybe check with Knitty on line.

I typed "honeycomb knitting pattern" as a request on internet. It came up with a few choices. One is http//home.howstuffworks.com/free-knitting-patterns-for-baby-blanket3.htm. Perhaps you can find the honeycomb pattern you're looking for there. Good luck.
