Help a Reader: Felt Infant Shoes and Crochet Class Covers
Posted by Caley on April 14th, 2010 at 05:00am
We have two reader questions this week.
Linda asks,
I am looking for a pattern for infant felt shoes. Do you have such a pattern in your archives?
Gail asks,
I’m looking for a crochet pattern for covers/jackets that go on drinking glasses. They were used in the 50’s mostly on metal glasses.
Can you help? If so, answer in the comments!

Linda,
I do not know of any free patterns for felt shoes. But Simplicity makes three. My favorite is 2867, which is a reprint of a 1940″s pattern. They also make 2471 and 2491 for a more modern felt shoe. I was able to get patterns when Joann fabric had one of their 99 cent sales. I keep a list of patterns that I want and buy them when they are about a $1,

Today, while looking for something else, I stumbled across the pattern for felt baby shoes. Believe it or not, I purchased it not long ago at JoAnn’s. It’s put out by Simplicity, pattern #2867. The price is $16.95 but I believe in a week or so, Simplicity patterns will be on sale at 50 % off. Hope you find it. Susan
