Help a Reader: 1 Skein Sweater Knitting Pattern

Can you help this reader find a knitting pattern? Marian writes,
I’m hoping that you can help me. My Grandmother had knitted a sweater, using only 1 skein of wool. The sweater had 3/4 sleeves, was about waist-lengh; the knitted stitches looked as if they were “elongated”. She used a pattern that was from a skein of wool (I think it was from Red Heart). I’m hoping that you can find the pattern or send the question to others–if they know of the pattern.

Dear Caley,
While surfing the net recently, I came across a book put out by Storey Publishing, entitled, “One Skein Wonders”. On overstock.com it retails for $18.99; you may be able to find it for less elsewhere now that you have a title. Good luck and great knitting!!
