2. There aren’t many cute, heart-shaped things that make acceptable male Valentine’s Day gifts, but no one could turn down mini cheesecakes. Last weekend I bought two mini springform heart pans to make my boyfriend chocolate raspberry Chambord cheesecake. Mmmm.

1. Everyone loves fresh flowers, but they are a bit pricey in our current economic climate no? I really appreciate rose alternatives for Valentine’s Day with a bit more staying power. These beaded red roses are unique and the project directions really simplify the process of making them yourself.

2. Here is another great alternative to fresh flowers, which can be used again and again for Valentine’s Day. This pink flower-petal wreath uses silk flowers, is super easy to make and it’s just as pretty as can be!

2. These “I Love You Because..” index cards are a really cute idea from Prima Hybrid.  This would be a great gift to give a significant other – you could make a bunch of them and write one reason why you love them on the back of each card.
