Favorites Friday: Sewing Machine Covers

Since we posted so many sewing tutorials yesterday, this round-up is of our favorite tutorials on sewing machine covers. All these gracious bloggers have shared a tutorial on how to rescue your sewing machine from that boring but necessary cover and give it something more aesthetically pleasing. A cover actually extends the life of the sewing machine by keeping dust out of all the little parts. These covers make sewing machine maintenance a little more fun.

1. Benita at Chez Larsson feature a brilliant step-by-step how-to with close-up pictures.

   

2. Spool features a Sewing Machine Cozy pdf (in the left rail of this page) and shows off some of their best designs.

   

3. Fern Treacy at Craft Blog shares her tutorial for a reversible sewing machine cover. The whimsical fabric covered with sewing machines is a great touch!

   

4. Marieann at DIYnamite creates a cute, reversible cover with double-fold bias tape.

   

5. Husqvarna offers this beautiful cover with a slot for the handle and supply pockets!

   

6. Christine at Lavender and Limes features another great, step-by-step tutorial with large pictures.

   

7. As an alternative to all these sewn covers, Knitting Minnesota shares a pattern for knitting a sewing machine cover. I love the button adornments!
