Many of our daily v-logs have been and will be recorded in my own DogHouse Studios in central east coast Florida (except when there is a road trip like the Craft and Hobby trade show coming up at the end of the month) and I didn’t pick the name DogHouse out of thin air. I’ve got 2 dachshunds and 2 basset hounds who consider my studio, yep, their dog house!
I thought I’d introduce you to the baby of the family, Edison. He’s got lots of nicknames, but for professional work he prefers I use his formal name. And trust me, he’s got more fans on Facebook than I do! He has only 1 rule as you’ll see in the video, but I mention a few more if you are crafting for pets.
Do you have a pet? Come on, tell us… you know you want to brag!

Of course I want to tell you about my dog!!!
I have a black giant schnauzer named Thyme.
She is lovely and perfect! When I sew or craft or crochet, she is the perfect nuisance!
She shoves her nose under my arm to get attention, or pokes me in the butt with her nose. When she is desperate, she pinches the flesh on my hip with her little front teeth. It doesn’t hurt, but it sure is an attention grabber!
I don’t do a lot of crafting for her, winter booties *for an injured foot, not that her giant hairy feet need booties otherwise*, and I’m crocheting a rug for her using plarn.
My sister and I have 4 kitties now. Two boys and two girls. It is usally me who just loves to talk about them. I’ll do my best to keep it short.
Our oldest one,Joy, is about to turn 5 years old, she is a beautiful Calico. I once made her an easter dress when she was the only one we had. So just to make her feel like she is still important I made her a bed before Christmas.
Next one is Momma, she was carrying babies at the end of last February. So I couldn’t help but to open our home to her because of a bad snow storm coming soon. It wasn’t too long after that she gave birth to 5 healthy babies. I ended up keeping her and her 3rd baby. I named him Tylor he is now 10 months old. He is now sleeping in his mother’s bed which I also made and it is attached to one of our living room windows with a post.
Now Tigger, my next boy kitty, he also came to me last March on Easter weekend. Once again before a snow storm. Actually you can say the Wyoming wind blew him into our home. He looks to me as his second mother. So for him I bought him an infant carrier before Christmas which straps onto me so he can take his nap while I’m at my comuter. But before he could use it I had to securely place two pads on the inside which I made so he wouldn’t fall thru.
Tigger’s first good nap in it was on the afternoon of New Years Eve. I posted the photo on my facebook page. He slept real good in it.
I have plans to make some more things for them in this new year.
I so enjoy being creative. Thanks.
I have two wonderful Boston terriers, names are Stan and his cousin Izzy Bea and also two sibling Chihuahua’s, Rocket and his sister Peeker. They are all so special and they get along with my three cats. Bob, a 5 year old stray that came to live with us as a new born, and now a 7 toed fellow and his brother. All get along just great. Can’t believe actually, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
May you also have a wonderful fur kid or fin kid or feather kid or scaled kid day!
