They make better patterns than tissue paper because you can use a marker to trace on them and it goes through to whatever you are putting it on. They also hold up better than tissue or even paper. They are easy to conform to an odd shape such as transferring an image to a rock. You can tape the sheet down, trace through it and it is still in good shape. I hope this is of use to someone.
