I have owned a serger sewing maching for many years and am scared to death to touch it – I don’t know how to use it. I recieved it as a gift and it is quite intimidating. Having a “get to know your serger” book with step by step instructions would ensure it coming off the shelf collecting dust and my abilities in sewing to go forward.
4. carole post | May 12th, 2009 at 6:48 am
I also have a serger,I have not used. with all it’s capabilities, it would be nice to utelize them all. This would be information to rectifiy all those problems and more.

I learned to use a serger when I was in high school.( almost 40 years ago) I went to school half a day and the other half I took industrial sewing at trade school. I havent’ touch a serger in years but would love to see whats new and use one at home. Hope I win
25. Anna Meier | May 12th, 2009 at 8:43 am
I too am interested in buying a serger, but just didn’t know. My granddaughter was born with a short left leg and arm and I think a serger would be handy to fix all her clothes. She is also a canidate for a leg lengthening surgery and I will need to modify her clothes in order to fit over the device that will hold the pins in place. I would love to win the book to help me decide if this would help.

Used to sew a lot then father became ill with a stroke so moved back home to help out. later father passed away and met my now husband of 25 years. I expressed to him my love for sewing and that I want to start sewing again. I still have my 1973′ singer “Touch and Sew” machine which was my graduation gift and my husband bought me a serger machine back in 1997′ which has never been used.
