Bling Bouquet: A Guest Project

Posted by Christine on July 7th, 2009 at 02:30pm

We have a very nice guest contributor who was very happy to send us her project. They call her the Rowdy Grandma. She is a grandma of many kids and she loves being with her grandkids. With this project she went through all her old jewelry and earrings with her grandkids. In doing so they came up with a great craft called the bling bouquet. It’s a fun and different kind of floral vase. The flowers aren’t real because they’re made out of old earrings. I thought it was a pretty neat project.

[...] I found this great tutorial for Rag Quilt Letters on Happy Together, a great blog from a woman named Jessica. She made these letters for her young daughter who is learning the alphabet, but I think they are so cute and could be used in a number of other ways. This tutorial is simple, all you  need are scrap fabrics, letters to trace, quilt batting and a few other items. Check out the letters below and click here for the full tutorial on Happy Together. This is a great craft for kids much like the bling bouquet. [...]
