Can you believe the summer is almost over? That makes me cringe with sadness. I haven’t even gone to the beach this summer and I just love looking at all the pretty colors of the green grass and blue sky. I know the fall season has amazing colors too when the leaves start to change but then the cold just follows shortly after.

Because I’m sad the summer is almost on its way out I want to remember all the great free crochet patterns I mentioned in the newsletters from July. A lot of those patterns happened to be afghans, of course those are great to make any time of year. A lot of other free crochet patterns mentioned in the newsletters were jackets and shawls. The Stashaholic’s Brain Dead Afghan by Adventures of a Stashaholic was one of the most popular patterns of the month voted on by you, the readers. I can understand as the title really catches your eye. It seems like an easy pattern to work up.
