101 Halloween Costume Ideas

I’ve been wracking my brain for a Halloween costume this year. Last year, I didn’t dress up because I was either out of town, or just being last minute as I tend to be. This year, I want to make more of a valiant effort to wear a full-on fun costume. And fun usually means funny! Ryan Standley, writer for What’s Happening community newspaper, wrote a great article for 101 Halloween Costume Ideas that I came across this week.

My favorites from the list are (in no particular order):

1. Autumn (sew leaves onto your clothes, carry a pumpkin)

2. Octo-Mom (eight baby dolls, black hair, lips)

3. Santa (red suit, beard, presents)

4. Rod Blagojevich (see 77, add a wig)

5. Chicken Cordon Bleu (blue shirt, hang a rubber chicken from your neck with phone cord)

6. Michael Phelps (Speedo)
